Many Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) decided to give their help and assistance to the government of the Philippine after they found out that the Metro Manila Subway Project will begin soon.

The veteran radio host and micro-blogger, Mark Lopez addressed in his open letter Arthur Tugade, the Secretary of Department of Transportation (DOTr) that some OFWs who were working as an Engineer in various areas in the world were hoping to be a part of the Manila Subway Project.

Mark stated that OFWs such as Yeye Banaag, Israel Banwa Aplod, Deo Miranda and other Filipinos who were working in abroad are willing to give their assistance and help on the Philippine government.

As stated by Mark that the said OFWs doesn’t care if they will not be going to get a similar salary that they get in abroad because for them, it is most important to help and gave assistance to their own country even for once.

According to the veteran blogger,

Mark stated that he also remembers the words that President Rodrigo Duterte said which he was hoping to see those Filipinos who were working in abroad to come back on the country not because they don’t have a job, but because there is already a job in their own country that is already available for them.

Yeye Banaag, on the other hand, replies to the open letter of Mark and said that they are willing and in favor to help and serve the Philippines.

Banaag stated,

The picture already gained 12,000 reactions and 7,000 shares from online users as of this writing.

There are some online users who got emotional after seeing and reading the open letter that was made by Mark.
